FIDE Master Claudiu Prunescu

Mr. Prunescu has over 22 years experience as a coach, teacher and chess player . Between 2010 – 2017, he has worked as coach for the Nyon Chess Club and from 2010 till present he works as teacher in schools in the Nyon area (Gland, Coppet, Borex, Genolier, Nyon). Another period , from 2014 till 2017 he also gave chess classes at Collonges – sous – Saleve, France.

Mr. Prunescu has several degrees and training qualifications obtained in Romania, France and Switzerland. In 2015 he obtained the title of Sports Master issued by the Minister of Sports of Romania.

He knows that chess can contribute to the healthy intellectual development of children. For this reason he created Chess School Prunescu, through which he would like to pass on his knowledge and passion for chess to children.

In 2014, after only one year of courses, he guided a French school team to win first place in the Haute – Savoie region (France). In the following year, (2015), the same school won second place with 2 players less than the other teams.
